I have been photographing the political world for a long time. Sometime in 2012, I started photographing campaigns and candidates of small regional parties, I gradually got into higher politics and in 2017 I photographed the first nationwide parliamentary campaign - for two months, we travelled around Czechia in a caravan with the leader Jan Farský. Then came the presidential campaign of Professor Drahoš, materials for the Central Bohemian STAN Party, marketing for the national STAN, the formation of the SPOLU coalition, in 2021 the joint campaign of STAN and the Pirates Party, billboard portraits for dozens, maybe hundreds of candidates.

After the parliamentary elections in 2021, I became the official photographer of four ministers from the STAN Party – the Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of European Affairs. I photographed the Presidency of the Council of the EU, I visited a number of EU countries with the Minister of the Interior Vít Rakušan, during the presidential elections and after them I worked with two main candidates Danuše Nerudová and Petr Pavel. In 2023, I documented Vít Rakušan’s negotiations in Africa and his meetings, among others, with the presidents and ministers of Senegal, Ghana and Rwanda. And during the years 2022-24, I also visited Ukraine several times.

And the last interesting moment of my work for STAN Party were the legendary Debates without censorship at the 1Q of 2024, followed by the campaign for the EU and regional elections. Well, I wonder what else I will experience while photographing the world of high politics!
